What drives the intention to dispense ETC medications without prescription across community pharmacists in Can Tho city, Viet Nam? – A theory-based cross-sectional analysis

Objectives: To access determinants of the intent providing ETC medicines in non-prescription settings community pharmacists Can Tho, Vietnam 2021. Additionally, we aimed to create a new measurement scale degrees effect for each factor. Methods: A cross-sectional research was conducted between June and October self-administered questionnaire stemmed from “Theory Planned Behavior” (TPB), consisting 24 statements on 5-point Likert mailed targeted individuals. Exploratory factor analysis is major instrument apart t-Test ANOVA statistics. 120 pharmacy personnel working at randomly chosen drugstores Tho. Results: Subjective norms have been found be most influential factor, followed by perceived behavior controls, positive attitudes toward action concern. TPB-based model responsible approximately 40% variance willingness take action. Conclusion: It seems that pharmacists’ decision prescription pharmaceuticals has not academically attractive. Extra papers are necessary understand motives behind execution behavior.
